Course Description: Pre-Calculus is a course that strongly combines algebra and geometry. The course has been specifically designed to give the student an understanding of the foundations of calculus. Polynomials, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, as well as dome of their properties and graphs are discussed in detail. Students will learn to use the graphing calculator to analyze functions. 
 
 

Course Objectives:
Students will be able to solve, graph, and apply the following functions and equations: linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and systems of equations. Students will also be able to solve discrete problems involving combinatorics, probability, sequences, and series.
