Ocean County Teen Arts Festival

BHS Fine and Performing Arts Departments competes in Ocean County Teen Arts Festival

On Tuesday, March 19, the BHS Fine and Performing Arts Department, as well as the creative writing courses competed in the Ocean County Teen Arts Festival. This two-day festival was held at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College, and brought together some of Ocean County’s finest high school students enrolled in dance, instrumental music, literary arts, theatre, video, visual arts, and vocal music classes.

Congratulations to the following students who were recognized and selected by the judges for their performances to perform at the NJ STate Teen Arts Festival in May:

Juliana Shugar - small theatre, "Icarus".  

Henry Traphagen - creative writing, "Le Soleil et La Lune Melanges"

Barnegat High School Saxophone Quartet (Kyle Smith, Allison D'Arienzo, Ryan Mangeruga, Deegan Melchiondo)-  small instrumental, "Something Modal"

Michael Kosar, 2D VIsual Art, "Imprisoned"

Neena Singh, 3D VIsual Art, "Excortication"

Olivia Hare, 3D Visual Art, "Harlem Tranquility"

Additionally, the following students were selected to perform at the Salute to Ocean County on April 11:
