Concert Make up

BHS Band Concert Make-up (May 22) - Due June 14

The following page will assist those students who were unable to attend a concert/symphonic band concert complete the make-up assignment.  Assignments will be graded using the following rubric.

BHS Spring Concert

Students should watch the entirety of the concert (flute ensemble, saxophone ensemble, symphonic band, concert band, and the senior song and complete the following questions for each musical selection.

1) What is your overall impression of the piece?  How did your peers perform the piece? 

2) What was done well?
 
3) What could be done to make the performance better? 



Jackson Liberty Jazz Festival Make-Up (April 13) - Due May 24

The following page will assist those students who were unable to attend a jazz band festival/competition complete the make-up assignment.  Assignments will be graded using the following rubric.

BHS Winter Concert

Students should watch only the jazz band portion (link above) and complete the following questions for each musical selection.

1) What is your overall impression of the piece?  How did your peers perform the piece? 

2) What was done well?
 
3) What could be done to make the performance better? 

 

In your typed responses, you must include detailed musical terminology to substantiate your points. Make sure that you reference the song in each response.
